Southall Farm & Inn is a luxury farm resort in Franklin, Tennessee, located just outside Nashville. Set across hundreds of acres of working farmland, orchards, lakes, greenhouses, and apiaries, Southall brings together seed-to-fork dining, wellness, outdoor adventure, and seasonal experiences shaped by the rhythms of the land.

Where is Southall located?

Southall is located in Franklin, Tennessee, just outside Nashville. The property offers a farm-style setting within close reach of downtown Franklin, Leiper’s Fork, and Nashville.

Do I need a reservation to visit Southall?

Yes. Southall is open to guests with an overnight stay, dining reservation, spa appointment, or booked experience. The Farmstand, Leo’s Coffee, and Joyland Food Truck are open to visitors without a reservation.

Is Southall adults-only or family friendly?

Southall welcomes both couples and families. Experiences across the property are designed to allow guests to engage with the land in different ways, from wellness experiences and spa treatments to outdoor activities, seasonal programming, and family-friendly events throughout the year.

What makes Southall different from other luxury resorts near Nashville?

Southall combines the privacy and pace of a countryside retreat with a fully operational farm, wellness destination, and culinary program shaped directly by the land. Orchards, gardens, greenhouses, and apiaries influence everything from dining and spa treatments to guest experiences and seasonal programming, creating a stay that changes throughout the year.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are welcome for Inn guests staying in select pet-friendly accommodations. A $250 pet fee applies, with a limit of one dog per room.

Dogs must remain leashed and with their owner at all times and are not permitted in dining areas. If leaving your dog in your room, we kindly ask that you place the “Do Not Disturb” sign on your door for their comfort and safety.

If I book a room, does that guarantee access to dining and spa reservations?

Dining and spa reservations are subject to availability and are not automatically guaranteed with an overnight stay. We recommend reserving spa treatments and dining experiences in advance through our Southall Experience Specialists at 615-282-2000.

What dining experiences are available at Southall?

Southall offers two distinct dining experiences rooted in a seed-to-fork philosophy and shaped by seasonal ingredients grown and gathered on the property.

January, Southall’s Michelin Green Star restaurant, offers an immersive fine dining experience centered around the daily harvest. Dinner service is available Wednesday through Sunday from 5:00 PM–10:00 PM, with final reservations at 8:30 PM.

Sojourner offers all-day dining in a more relaxed setting, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. Menus shift with the seasons and reflect ingredients sourced directly from Southall’s farm, orchards, and greenhouses.

What is January Restaurant?

January is Southall’s signature Michelin Green Star restaurant and the fullest expression of the property’s seed-to-fork philosophy. Menus are shaped daily by what is harvested from the land, creating a dining experience that evolves with the seasons and reflects the surrounding farm, apiaries, orchards, and greenhouses.

Does Southall grow its own food?

Yes. Southall’s culinary program is shaped by ingredients grown and gathered throughout the property, including produce from the gardens and greenhouses, fruit from the orchards, and honey from Southall’s apiaries.

Does Southall have a spa?

Yes. The Spa at Southall is a wellness destination designed around restoration, movement, and connection to the land. Spa amenities include mineral waters, relaxation lounges, steam and sauna experiences, and treatment offerings focused on whole-person wellbeing.

What are the spa hours?

Spa facilities are available daily from 8:00 AM–7:30 PM. The first appointment begins at 9:00 AM, with final appointments beginning at 6:00 PM.

Are the mineral waters open year-round?

Yes. Southall’s heated mineral waters are open year-round and maintained at approximately 101 degrees. The space is protected from the elements by a retractable awning, allowing for a comfortable experience throughout every season.

What is included with a spa day pass?

Spa day passes are available exclusively for Inn guests during dedicated access windows of 8:00 AM–11:00 AM or 4:00 PM–7:00 PM, subject to availability. These reserved timeframes help maintain a calm and restorative atmosphere throughout the spa.

Which spa areas are co-ed?

The relaxation lounges and outdoor wellness spaces, including the mineral waters, are open to all guests. Locker room areas are designated separately to provide comfort and privacy.

Are spa amenities included with manicure and pedicure services?

Spa amenity access is included with all spa services except nail services. Inn guests booking manicure or pedicure appointments may purchase a day pass for spa access, subject to availability, for $100.

Can I order food or drinks in the spa?

The spa offers smoothies, coffee, infused waters, teas, elixirs, and light nourishing bites throughout the day in the Iris Lounge. Guests looking for a full lunch experience are encouraged to dine at Sojourner before or after their treatments. Advance dining reservations are recommended.

What activities are available at Southall?

Southall offers a variety of experiences designed around the land and seasons, including wellness programming, guided outdoor activities, culinary experiences, farm tours, hiking, fishing, kayaking, and seasonal events throughout the property.

Can I drive my personal vehicle to my cottage?

To preserve the privacy and safety of the property, guest vehicles are valet only and are not permitted at the cottages. Southall’s transportation team is available 24 hours a day to provide transportation throughout the property during your stay.

What is the Lincoln House Car?

Southall offers a complimentary Lincoln House Car experience for Inn guests, providing a comfortable way to explore Franklin and the surrounding Middle Tennessee countryside.

Can I drive the Lincoln House Car myself?

Yes. Guests may reserve the Lincoln House Car for self-guided use for up to four hours, subject to availability. Reservations may be arranged through the concierge or valet team during your stay.

Is transportation available through the Lincoln House Car?

Yes. Valet-driven transportation may also be requested for nearby destinations.

Can I order amenities or flowers to my room?

Yes. Southall offers curated in-room amenities, including floral arrangements, available with advance notice. 

Most amenities may be arranged 24–48 hours in advance, while floral requests require at least 72 hours notice. To coordinate an amenity, please contact our Southall Experience Specialists at 615-282-2000

Can I bring a cake into the restaurant?

Outside cakes are not permitted in our restaurants due to health regulations. Guests staying at Southall may arrange a custom cake through our culinary team with at least 72 hours advance notice.

Can I host a wedding or event at Southall?

What is Southall’s cancellation policy?

Spa Appointments
Spa appointments may be canceled or modified with at least 24 hours notice. Missed appointments or cancellations within 24 hours are subject to the full service charge.

Room Reservations
Reservations may be canceled or modified up to 14 days prior to arrival for a full refund of the first night’s deposit. Changes or cancellations made within 14 days of arrival are subject to the cancellation policy. For assistance, please contact our reservations team.
